This post is dedicated to my friend, the big dawg.

Everyone towers over me. They can cast a shadow on me.

Everyone barks louder than me. They can be heard from miles away.

Everyone can play better than me. They don’t lose the toy like me.

Everyone stays clean. They get less mud than me.

Through every puddle, they get less mud.

Through every field, they get less mud.

Through every farm, they get less mud.

Through every backyard, they get less mud.

Through every park, they get less mud.

Me, oh, little me. I get it everywhere.

On my paws, my snout, my mouth, my nose, my ears, my face.

Sometimes it gets in my eyes. Then, I can’t see.

I look at everyone else. They are less muddy than me.

They all look happy.

While I look dirty.

I want to be a big dog.

Everyone is less muddy than me.

Everyone has better days than me.

But, everyone loves me.

Everyone towers over me to protect me.

Everyone barks louder than me to help me.

Everyone brings me their toys to play with me.

Everyone walks through mud with me to be with me.

Everyone is different than me.

I am different than everyone.

And, that’s okay.

At least I have everyone.

Everyone who is different around me.

Everyone to love me.
